Location, location, location

Tracking inventory accurately is all about knowing its location.

At its most simplest form, good inventory management is just a matter of knowing the location of the inventory. If you know its location, you'll know how many you have.

Sometimes we categorize inventory into different levels of accuracy when it comes to location.

High-level we may just have an "OnHand" count.
We can get more specific and know it is in warehouse #3.
Drilling deeper perhaps it is in zone B.
On asile 7.
Shelf 32.
Bin 9.

Now if you really want to get fancy, show me a map and where on the map the next item and the previous item. Super fancy systems can work like a google maps for how to get to everything you need to fulfill the order you are working on.
