Touch it once

Life is better if you'll adopt a "touch it once" rule.

The idea behind "Touch It Once" is straightforward: every item or task should be dealt with immediately, without procrastination. Much like our kitchen counters, if we let things accumulate and become messy, it becomes increasingly difficult to find the motivation to put things back where they belong.
