Wrong is worse

The system says you have it.

You can't find it.

What do you do?

I know of a business that has 3 people (different shifts) in their warehouse whose sole job is to find the items that the system says they have...and they sold...but they couldn't ship because they couldn't find the items. 

They have software...they have a system...it is just wrong. 

A good system is more than just software. It is processes followed, employee buy in, ease of use, working the way you already work...the best software in the world doesn't work if it is wrong.
